Welcome to #DeviantLoveSoftware

Here you'll find news & musings on the development of the Deviant Love browser extension, as well as plenty of opportunities to provide your feedback. If you seek to get general information on Deviant Love, including how to grab it for your browser, come see its deviation page.

Questions? Bug reports? Ideas? Feel free to leave 'em in a comment here. If you'd like to make a visual suggestion, you can submit it to the Mock-ups and Suggestions folder (which doesn't require group membership).

If you can write JavaScript and handle git, and you want to contribute more than ideas to Deviant Love, you can find the source code and participate in development at the GitHub repo. Consider noting me so we can coordinate our efforts.

Note for members and watchers: By default, you'll get a message whenever a visual suggestion or mock-up has been posted (don't worry, I'll filter out the spam). If you want messages for blog posts only, click "Watching" in the upper-right corner and uncheck "Deviations".

This release's codename is a Fawful quote! I'm quite a fan of the little weirdo, as you'd know from reading Deviant Love's source code. This quote was chosen as this release fixes a bug introduced in a release codenamed "Blazing Speed". That was a few years ago, but I never knew the bug was there until I went to rewrite the scanner for the upcoming 2.3 release.Shrug

Retrying works correctly!

If scanning your Faves page fails due to a communication error, Deviant Love is supposed to provide a button that instructs it to try again, but until now a bug was either making this always fail or causing it to gather incorrect data, I'm not sure which. As if to try to substitute quality with quantity, the bug could have also made as many as 6 such buttons appear. All this madness is no more, and you are guaranteed a single button that behaves properly!

You should put up the deviation in question on the group gallery! It's not immediately evident what this group is about.
